Mekaela Academies marked their 25th Anniversary, since the school was founded, with pomp and colour.

And there was cake...

The celebrations were held in all the schools, with students, parents, staff, and the management being in attendance.

To mark the day and etch it in the history books, trees were planted across the seven (7) Mekaela Schools.

Mekaela Academies was founded in 1996 by Stefan & Micki Wentzel, Frank Muther, Jeremiah Murugi, and Elijah Musili who started out as the Headteacher and rose to become the current Managing Director. In a quarter of a century, the school has grown to have seven schools under its wings spread across Ukunda, Diani and Kombani.

The MD in his remarks acknowledged that the success of Mekaela Academies has been due to a good working relationship with staff, parents, students, alumni, donors, the community, and the County Government of Kwale.

The Governor of Kwale County-H.E.Salim Mvurya, accompanied by his Deputy H.E. Fatuma Achani and other local leaders making their way into our newly built ultra-modern and state-of-the-art Mekaela Online Academy Complex.

This was the maiden visit for the Governor, who had the opportunity of reminiscing his old-school days by attending a Live Class Session, scheduled and conducted using our Premier Online Learning Platform: Shule Pepe www.shulepepe.net

In October, 2020, we initiated the construction of our new state-of-the-art media complex. This building will house 15 studio-booths, whose aim is to serve the learners who would have been subscribed to the Premier Online Learning Platform-Shule Pepe. Shule Pepe aims at delivering high-quality academic content to all learners across the country and region. Building is taking Shape... Therefore, the completion of this media complex will immensely boost the academic content delivery to Shule Pepe Subscribers. Roofing completion ongoing!
